Takagi si sveglia in una camera di un hotel senza ricordare nulla di come ci sia finito.

Lentamente comincerà a ricordare cosa è successo il giorno prima….a partire da un funerale, un incontro con un boss della yakuza e con la sua fidanzata…. Non vi anticipo nulla ma vi assicuro che c’è da sbellicarsi dalle risate…

Riporto il commento del regista, Hiroyuki Tanaka, meglio conosciuto come Sabu, sul film: "ho semplicemente deciso di fare quello che volevo, e ciò che volevo fare era ... una commedia, un film d'azione, una storia dolorosa, fantastica e con un po' di horror e anche un film "danzante" molto rigoroso, intransigente, con tanto, tanto, tanto ballo. Volevo che ci fossero dentro tutti questi elementi, volevo che fosse pieno di riso cinico e volevo anche che non durasse più di cento minuti. Ci ho provato e..., sì ce l'ho fatta".

È un ottimo film anche se dalla pietosa locandina non si direbbe...

Io ho trovato più Q.Tarantino in questo film rispetto, ad esempio, Old Boy.

Bhè, non è che trovi Tarantino in qualche film, è lui che ha "rubato" da tutti i film, in primis quelli orientali. Di conseguenza troveremo Trantino in molte pellicole Giapponesi. Lo dico con affetto perché stimo Quentin, ma è troppo un ladro. Poi qualche americano si è messo in testa di fare qualche film "alla Trantino", ma Sabu è Sabu (nel bene e nel male).
Tant'è che credo che questa pellicola sia unica nel suo non sense-nichilista e ludico. Niente a cui arrivare e quasi niente da cui partire. Un passivo, violento e danzerezzo spaccato di una serata storta. Veramnte fuori, ma divertente e ben fatto. Io lo promuovo pienamente anche solo per il coraggio.

Mi riferivo più che altro all'abuso che si fa oggi del fatto che si vuole trovare un 'Tarantino Style' in molti film orientali, come è avvenuto con Old Boy e il più recente A Bittersweet Life.

Personalmente non vedo molto di Tarantino in questi film mentre vedo più Tarantino in questo.

Però come si fa a criticare un regista che è un grandissimo appassionato ed estimatore del cinema orientale? :D
