Io non riesco ancora a vederlo, però sono rimasta un po' perplessa per la scelta delle attrici, Aoi a parte. Non mi hanno particolarmente colpita laddove le ho viste in opera, e mi stanno pure un po' antipatiche
Ma un regista bravo sa guidare i suoi attori e renderli validi, quindi vedremo.
Frattanto, ci sono anche i sub (inglesi) della seconda puntata.

Mi è piaciuto. Non è esente da ingenuità ma mi è piaciuto.
I primi venti minuti sono davvero angoscianti, e l'intero episodio è incentrato sul personaggio di Sae, interpretato da una Aoi che diventa sempre più convincente con il procedere della puntata (nella seconda parte è stata davvero brava).
I (pochi) comprimari passano inesorabilmente in secondo piano, e forse il punto debole della storia è il protagonista maschile, che non brilla di luce propria ma serve a rendere più sfaccettato e complesso il personaggio di Sae.
La fotografia, che tante perplessità mi creava, ha un suo perché, nell'essere così livida e fredda.
La regia costruisce un'atmosfera che va dal claustrofobico
Quello che non mi è piaciuto è stato, appunto, il protagonista maschile, e poi alcuni dettagli, forse di scarsa rilevanza. Mi viene in mente...
A parte questo, a me è piaciuto molto, e spero che i prossimi quanto ad intensità visiva e narrativa non siano da meno, e anzi migliorino nella scrittura.

Nel frattempo ho visto il secondo: ha un ritmo maggiore, ma l'ho trovato meno interessante. Buonissima la prima parte della puntata, meno la seconda. E Koike Eiko, protagonista dell'episodio, non è Yu Aoi...

Sicuramente non è efficace come il primo; soffre, secondo me, anche della minore durata, che non permette pieno sviluppo della narrazione, ma il problema sostanziale è il fatto che è troppo incentrato sulle parole e poco sulla "visione", sugli espedienti visivi che dovrebbero rendere gli automatismi della protagonista, la sua paura/violenza, l'aver interiorizzato la promessa di espiare.
Di conseguenza la tensione è poca, anche se ho trovato ottime alcune sequenze, soprattutto quelle relative al kendo.
Koike Eiko non mi è dispiaciuta, nonostante non mi piaccia in genere come attrice.
Ciò che mi rende perplessa dell'intera serie è la cornice; la mamma di Emiri è un personaggio quasi en passant. Non so, trovo l'espediente della cornice poco incisivo e molto pretestuoso, invece dovrebbe essere il perno della vicenda.

Veramente bello, questo doloroso confronto tra fratelli legatissimi.
Meno parole e più immagini, più suggestione; interpretazioni all'altezza (prima che venga pronunciata la parola "orso", lo spettatore ha già fatto mentalmente questa associazione), e strana, ma calzante, la scelta della musica scozzese di illuminare i movimenti interiori di questa bambina che si è rifiutata di crescere per tanti anni.
Ancora una volta i miei dubbi si concentrano sulla madre di Emiri e sul suo ruolo. Spero davvero che tutto trovi un senso forte, nel finale.
