La nuova sala concerti ARK NOVA, disegnata da Arata Isozaki e dall'artista indiano Anish Kapoor, è una struttura gonfiabile che comprende tutti i servizi e attrezzature, oltre agli spazi che ospitano il palco e le aree tecniche. L'installazione è stata realizzata a Miyagi District (Giappone), prima tappa del Lucerne Festival che toccherà tutte le principali città giapponesi colpite dal terremoto del 2011.

La membrana elastica, di colore viola, può essere montata e sgonfiata facilmente per consentirne un agevole trasporto. L'interno si compone di un unico spazio, che a seconda delle esigenze e dell'organizzazione delle attrezzature, può ospitare diverse tipologie di eventi quali mostre, concerti jazz o performance artistiche.
L'edificio alto 18 m, largo 36 m e profondo 30 m è pensato per ospitare 500 persone sedute durante le performance per orchestra.
