JANG Dong-gun e KIM Min-hee sono i protagonisti del nuovo film di LEE Jeong-beom, il regista di Cruel Winter Blues e The Man from Nowhere, che ha attirato più di 6 milioni di spettatori nel 2010.

The Crying Man è un thriller su di un killer professionista e la sua preda. È il primo lavoro di JANG da A Gentleman's Dignity, una serie TV coreana molto popolare, e dal film cinese Dangerous Liaisons del regista coreano HUR Jin-ho. KIM è in costante ascesa dopo il successo ottenuto con Helpless della regista BYUN Young-joo, e dopo aver vinto lo scorso anno il premio come miglior attrice ai Paeksang Arts Awards per il suo ruolo in Very Ordinary Couple.

Il film uscirà a giugno nelle sale coreane.

Com'era preventivabile, LEE Jeong-beom si adagia sui medesimi artifici narrativi e personaggi del film che l'ha portato al successo, aggiungendo poco o nulla di nuovo. C'è come sempre una persona da salvare a cui hanno ucciso una congiunta, il cattivo spietato (tra l'altro impersonato dallo stesso attore), il mercenario dal cuore d'oro, e Jang Dong-gun (che biascica un'imbarazzante inglese) non ha lo stesso carisma di Won Bin.
