Blue
Due amici d'infanzia si arruolano come sommozzatori nella Marina Militare. Kim Jun (Shin Hyeon-Jun) si innamora di Soo-jin (Shin Eun-Kyung) ma scopre che anche a Tae-hyeon (Kim Yeong-Ho) piace la stessa ragazza e per non rovinare la lunga amicizia cerca di tagliare ogni rapporto con lei.
Ma quando tre anni dopo Soo-Jin ritorna dal corso Ufficiali per guidare le esercitazioni si riaccendono le tensioni nei loro rapporti.
Shin Hyeon-Jun si pone in primo piano con il suo personaggio vivace e mattacchione, divertente la scena in cui ruba il gelato ad una povera bambina, mentre Tae-hyeon passa inosservato per la sua piattezza. Shin Eun-Kyung ogni tanto mena le mani ricordando la protagonista di My Wife is a Gangster, ma non può fare più di tanto per reggere in piedi il film.
Una pellicola mediocre che ha però la decenza di non dilungarsi in scene inutili. Purtroppo si perde definitivamente nella patetica sequenza conclusiva del salvataggio dal sottomarino in panne.

Harikomi - Nomura Yoshitaro - 1958
Due poliziotti, fallito il tentativo di arresto di un omicida a Tokyo, decidono di recarsi in una cittadina del Kyushu dove vive la sua amante, sperando così di incastrarlo. Passano tutto il loro tempo alloggiati nel ryokan di fronte alla casa della donna nella speranza di notare qualcosa di sospetto, ma ben presto si accorgono della triste condizione in cui vive la donna e finiscono per compatirla.
Un film nero che è anche critica sociale: la condizione delle donne, l'arretratezza delle campagne etc. Nomura imposta il film sull'attesa dei poliziotti, che viene magistralmente resa attraverso scene lente e teatrali.
Due poliziotti, fallito il tentativo di arresto di un omicida a Tokyo, decidono di recarsi in una cittadina del Kyushu dove vive la sua amante, sperando così di incastrarlo. Roommates (aka D-day)
Come suggerito da battle ho visto anche quest'altro film della serie 4 Horror Tales.
Classica ambientazione in una scuola femminile e personaggi stereotipati, ma tutto sommato un buon horror che si lascia guardare fino in fondo. Molto brave le ragazze protagoniste.
Devo dire però che tra i due film mi è piaciuto di più 29 February, più thriller e meno horror, ma è questione di gusti.
Ora sono curioso di vedere gli altri due...
Come suggerito da battle ho visto anche quest'altro film della serie 4 Horror Tales.

Roommates era piaciuto anche a me, soprattutto per avermi mostrato certe perversioni nel sistema dell'istruzione in Korea che non conoscevo.

Dr.Fie: Roommates è proprio un gran bel film che di horror ha ben poco. Per me potrebbe funzionare anche come capitolo della serie "Whispering Corridors", perchè è fondamentalmente un crudo melodramma con elementi orrorrofici. Riguardo agli altri due: "Dark Forest" è inguardabile 
, "Hidden Floor" molto carino, ma dalla trama di una *SARCASM MODE: On* fantasia davvero insuperabile, con colpi di scena a ripetizione e senza il fantasma capelluto di turno *SARCASM MODE: Off*, però si è guardabile
