Adam & Joe go to Tokyo (BBC) - 9 episodi
Citazione
Adam and Joe Go Tokyo was a series that aired in 2003 on BBC that explored Japanese pop culture much like Jonathan Ross's Japanorama did, covering similar topics and having some guests in common. But, I have to say I much prefer A&J because the guys are just hilarious, especially in their attempts to get 'Big in Japan' (my favorite being their performance as 'Gaijin Invasion')
A&JGT also concluded each episode with a musical guest, although not any that I readily recognized besides Guitar Wolf and Polysics...you can read more episode specifics on the

Stunningly filmed and with exclusive access, Yukina's journey gives a unique insight into the sacrifice and dedication needed to enter the closed but privileged world of the Geisha.

Tokyo Noise
Citazione
Tokyo Noise is an exciting audiovisual dive into the cacophonic waters of urban Japan. Three Swedish documentary makers drag us into a world characterized by noise in all possible forms, and during the trip a plethora of themes are subjects for speculation: robots, shintoism, love hotels, the ethical guidelines for a photo club specializing in Mount Fuji. All of this is presented by a handful of people as eccentric photographers, noise artists, shinto priests, doctors, game designers and more.
