TRAMA

Nel 2011, una giornalista arriva a Nagaoka, un villaggio giapponese che ha subito distruzioni sia durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale sia durante il terremoto di Chūetsu del 2004, e che oggi è noto per i fuochi d'artificio che vengono lanciati ogni anno in memoria delle vittime della guerra. La donna si reca lì per due motivi: per conoscere le esperienze degli abitanti di Nagaoka e per assistere a una rappresentazione teatrale scritta da un enigmatico studente del suo ex fidanzato, che raffigura il bombardamento della città durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale.
