8th Chinese Film Media Awards
...i premi pan-cinesi del Southern Metropolitan Daily...

...giungono alla ottava edizione i Chinese Film Media Awards, gli unici premi cinematografici ad ammettere senza alcuna distinzione tutti i film prodotti nell'ultimo anno e girati in lingua cinese, provenienti da Cina continentale, Hong Kong e Taiwan. I premi sono istitutiti dal quotidiano del Guangdong Southern Metropolitan Daily, un organo di informazione piuttosto libero per gli statndard cinesi e controllato dalla branca locale del Partito Comunista Cinese. Nonostante le note questioni di censura più o meno ufficiale per Lust, Caution, il Leone D'Oro dell'ultima Mostra del Cinema, e per la sua protagonista, Tang Wei, entrambi risultano tra i nominati, come anche il già censurato Lost in Beijing. Non mancano le incongruenze nella lista dei nominati, come Jet Li attore per Postmodern Life of My Aunt e Zhang Jingchu candidata sia come attrice protagonista che come non protagonista per lo stesso film, Protégé.
