Nam-soon ha perso da bambino la sua famiglia in un incidente stradale. Diventato adulto, si guadagna da vivere lavorando come strozzino. Il suo metodo per recuperare i soldi dei suoi debitori è molto efficace. Essendo malato di analgesia, non prova dolore e si autoinfligge delle ferite per spaventare i suoi debitori. Tra questi vi è Dong-hyeon, una ragazza malata di emofilia e estremamente povera. I due ben presto inizieranno a conoscersi e ad amarsi.
