Il film che ha ricevuto più nomination è When Love Comes di Chang Tso-chi. Seguono Bodyguards and Assassins di Teddy Chen (9 candidature), The Fourth Portrait di Chung Mong-hong (7), Judge di Liu Jie (4) e Seven Days in Heaven di Wang Yu-lin ed Essay Liu (6).
Scandalosa l'esclusione dalle categorie più importanti di Detectice Dee di uno Tsui Hark in forma smagliante. Peccato anche che non abbiamo preso seriamente in considerazione Au revoir Taipei di Arvin Chen e Taipei Exchanges di Hsiao Ya-Chuan, due film piccoli che, insieme a One Day di Hou Chi-jan, rappresentano il nuovo che avanza a Taiwan.
Felicissimo per la nomination ad una rediviva Tang Wei.
