Katasumi - In a corner, di Takashi Shimizu, con Kazushi Ando, Daiki Sawada. Due studentesse stanno accudendo dei conigli durante l'estate. Una di loro si ferisce ad un dito, e quando l'altra torna per curarla, ritrova l'amica trasformata in zombie da Kayako, che lentamente si avvicina. Poco più di tre minuti per un vero e proprio prequel di Ju-on (The grudge), con la prima apparizione dell'inquietante Kayako. Difficile creare atmosfera in un tempo così ridotto, ma nonostante tutto Shimizu regala un lavoro interessante, quanto meno per osservare i suoi primi istinti registici che avranno poi piena maturità negli anni successivi. Approssimativo, ma non sdegnabile. Auroreo. Voto N.D.

La cosa carina è che questi minicorti sono legati alla versione teleisiva di ju-on in cui vediamo che la ragazza (che poi è chiaki kuryama) del ragazzo che trova il telefono non riesce a raggiungerlo al cellulare (viene poi lei stessa attaccata da toshio), e kanna (la ragazza "trasformata" in fantasma) è una delle abitanti della casa in cui viveva kajako e che per quello viene maledetta. Nel film dicono che va a scuola a dar da mangiare ai conigli perchè è il suo turno e quello di una sua compagna... Al ritorno torna così come la vediamo ma senza la parte sotto della bocca facendo prendere un colpo alla madre e finire di conseguenza la sua parte di storia...
