L'ospedale abbandonato Tamai è il luogo di ritrovo di fuocose coppie in cerca di sesso estremo. Non sanno che,però, nell'ospedale chirurgico si annida lo spettro della donna dalla bocca sforbiciata che uccide tutti coloro che mettono piede nella struttura. Ad indagare è una giornalista in cerca di scoop, che presto verrà coinvolta anche lei nella maledizione, una volta che persino la sorella muore a causa della donna dalla bocca sforbiciata. La risoluzione del mistero sarà completamente spiazzante.

Molti ricorderanno, per affinità di trama e fantasma, l'originale e ferocissimo film di Koji Shirashi denonimato "A Slit Mouthed Woman", ebbene Hashiguchi ne gira una sua versione personale: un assurdo mediometraggio in cui il sesso la fa da padrone e dove persino la maledizione ha un resoconto a dir poco malandrino, ma dove l'horror è ben presente e tangibile.
Non aspettatevi quindi bufale come "Guts Of A Virgin" dove l'horror è solo una scusa per mostrare belle poppe. In questo piccolo cult ci sono anche ottimi momenti di tensione e l'ospedale stesso è fonte di grandi inquietudini.
Poi, non nascondo che il film ha ben altri obiettivi d'interesse.

Cos'è dunque questo nulla? Come si può descriverlo se è indicibile? Il buddhismo ricorre alla metafora dell'onda. Un'onda non cade dall'acqua dall'esterno, ma proviene dall'acqua senza separarsene. Scompare e torna all'acqua da cui ha tratto origine e non lascia nell'acqua la minima traccia di sé. Come onda si solleva dall'acqua e torna all'acqua. Come acqua esso è il movimento dell'acqua. Come onda l'acqua sorge e tramonta, e come acqua non sorge e non tramonta. Così l'acqua forma mille e diecimila onde e tuttavia resta in sé costante e immutata.

Così rispose ad un tale che sosteneva che non esistesse il movimento: si alzò e si mise a camminare" (Diogene)
