Trama. Autunno del 1573, l'esercito di Nobunaga Oda sconfigge il clan Azai. Il samurai Hayate, gravemente ferito, viene salvato da una banda di ladri. Oryo, la figlia del loro capo, si innamora di lui ma l'uomo ama già un'altra donna.

Il film è basato su un libro di Inoue Yasushi, autore soprattutto di romanzi storici. Da un'altra sua opera lo stesso Inagaki Hiroshi ha tratto Samurai Banners

Grazie ancora una volta a livius28, il nostro specialista del genere :)

Film interessante, bei personaggi (sarà lo zampino di Kurosawa nella sceneggiatura?). Anche se Mifune è il protagonista, non è così accentratore come spesso nei suoi tanti film (molti diretti proprio da Inagaki)
