Sinossi

Avendo perso da poco la vista, Ingrid decide di non abbandonare più la sicurezza garantitale dalla sua abitazione, un luogo dove può aver tutto sotto controllo e può restare sola con il marito e i suoi pensieri.
I problemi reali di Ingrid, però, non vengono dal mondo esterno e pian piano le sue paure più profonde e le sue fantasie represse prenderanno il sopravvento.

In Blind, tutto è al condizionale, perché la sfida del film è di mettere lo spettatore nei panni di una cieca "cui non interessa più cosa è reale fino a quando riesce a visualizzarlo". Ogni scena diventa così l'occasione per un espediente scenico o di sceneggiatura volto a veicolare una narrazione di tipo "sensoriale". Eskil Vogt dà prova di grande umorismo e inventiva a tal riguardo. Questo lato ludico apporta una bella leggerezza a quello che rimane innanzitutto un dramma, quello della disintegrazione di una coppia e di una donna isolata dalla sua malattia. Il regista trascina lo spettatore in un'esperienza che si trasforma sottilmente in altro rispetto a una narrazione classica.

Grazie alla fotografia di Thimios Bakatakis (Dogtooth) e un lavoro di artigianato sonoro cui contribuiscono le composizioni di Henk Hofstede, Blind dà la sensazione di fluttuare e lo spettatore non ha altra scelta che farsi guidare dalla voce off. Se il film è talvolta crudo e terra terra (le scene pornografiche sono la migliore illustrazione di questo aspetto), non è meno intelligente e colto quando si tratta di citare la poesia norvegese così come la cultura pop, cui la pornografia ad ogni modo appartiene. Blind possiede inoltre una freddezza tutta scandinava che si ritrova anche nei tratti del volto della protagonista, bella ma strana.

Un film bellissimo.
