Il successore de Il Giardino delle Parole arriverà al cinema l’estate del prossimo anno.

Si intitola Your Name – Kimi no Na ha (Il tuo nome) il nuovo film d’animazione di Makoto Shinkai, acclamato autore di opere quali La Voce delle Stelle e 5 Cm al secondo.
Affiancano il regista in questo nuovo progetto, che sarà distribuito ad Agosto 2016, il character designer Masayoshi Tanaka (AnoHana) e il direttore dell’animazione Masashi Ando (Principessa Mononoke).
I protagonisti saranno doppiati da due giovani attori, Ryunosuke Kamiki (Sojiro nel live action tratto da Rurouni Kenshin) e Mone Kamishiraishi (Kanade nei film dal vivo ispirati a Chihayafuru).

La storia segue Mitsuha Miyamizu, liceale che abita in campagna insieme a sua madre e sua sorella minore.
Un giorno la ragazza sogna di rincontrare un ragazzo, Taki Tachibana, che vive a Tokyo. Inizia così una miracolosa e sorprendente storia d’amore.

Visto anch'io, finally. Sicuramente è il lavoro più maturo di Shinkai. Tecnicamente ineccepibile e narrativamente presenta un filo logico che mancava nelle opere precedenti. Tuttavia ho preferito l'incompiutezza poetica e silenziosa di Byosoku al sentimentalismo più marcato di quest'opera. In definitiva: notevole ma non superlativo.
